How it works

This clock shows the time reported by your device, using its time zone unless you choose another. Your language sets the default hour format, not the time zone. The clock does not check a time server.

An analog clock divides each minute into 60 positions and each half-day into 12 hours. The minute hand moves 6 degrees per minute, and the hour hand moves 30 degrees per hour. At 3:15, the minute hand points to 3 and the hour hand is a quarter of the way from 3 to 4. The digital clock shows the same time as numbers.

Full screen makes the clock easier to read across a room. Keeping the screen awake is optional: your browser may refuse or release that request, for example when you switch tabs. A sleeping or closed device cannot keep displaying the clock.

Frequently asked questions

Is this clock synchronized?

No. It uses your device clock without checking or correcting it. Check your device’s time settings if it looks wrong.

What happens when my device sleeps?

The display stops updating. When you return, it reads the current device time instead of counting missed seconds.

Can I use 12-hour time?

Yes. Choose 12-hour under Hour format. The digital display and the text below the analog clock include the day period.

How do I leave full screen?

Use the close control or press Escape. Your browser may also provide its own exit control.

Why did keeping the screen awake stop?

The browser can release the request when the page is hidden or for power-saving reasons. Return to full screen and request it again if needed.

Does a shared link open full screen?

No. It shares your face, hour format, time zone, dial style, second-hand motion and seconds visibility. Entering full screen and keeping the screen awake always need your action.

Why does the sweeping hand tick instead?

Your device’s reduced-motion setting makes the hand tick once per second. Your motion choice is kept when sharing the clock. Ticking is silent; neither choice plays a sound.
